The Kyoto Protocol requires the signing countries to gradually reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. In the European Union, the competent public authorities distribute their emission allowances among the major emitters and are responsible for controlling and reporting that they meet the foreseen quotas.

What is GHG Verification?

The European Union Emission Trading Scheme establishes that organizations with facilities dedicated to activities that emit greenhouse gases and that are included in each country's national emission allowances allocation plan must issue a report every year, notifying the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) they produce. Said report must be verified by an accredited independent entity and must be delivered at the end of each yearly period to the competent authorities before the end of February.

Benefits

  • Meet the requirements of the European Union Emission Trading Scheme
  • Accurately know the volume of CO2 emissions your company emits.
  • Ensure the transparency of the emissions statement process.
