Managing a successful transition to ISO 9001 V. 2015 (with Applus+ in Mexico)

1. Note the final deadline for migrating to ISO 9001:2015 (As of March 2017, companies will only be able to be assessed against ISO 9001:2015)
2. Deepen your knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
3. Draw up a Gantt chart action plan
4. Undertake training in risk assessment for ISO 9001:2015
5. Undertake training in risk management according to ISO 31000
6. Implement the changes in your organisation
7. Become an ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor
8. Ask your certifying body to make the transition to ISO 9001:2015 (before the end of February 2017)

Key recommendations

• Remember that it is likely to take you at least 8 months to create your action plan, undertake training and effect the necessary changes
• As of March 2017, companies will only be able to be audited under ISO 9001:2015.
• Applus+ will be running a series of conferences, free and open to all, at which we will explain the key changes (contact us to check dates)
• In September 2018, all remaining ISO 9001:2008 certificates will be rendered invalid
