First meeting of ENS Certification Council

    Certification body Applus+ attends first meeting of National Security Framework’s Certification Council (CoCENS), together with representatives of other certification bodies, ENAC and the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

    The first CoCENS meeting took place on 14th September at the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN) headquarters. All interested parties were invited to send representatives, namely CCN-CERT, Spain’s Ministry for Regional Policy and the Civil Service, AEPD (the Spanish data protection agency), ENAC (Spain’s national accreditation agency) and certification bodies including Applus+ Certification.
     
    CoCENS’ mission is to ensure that the National Security Framework (ENS) is correctly implemented. Its remit includes:
    • Promoting ENS certification in both public and private sectors
    • Drawing up and publishing standards, criteria and best practice in the field of ENS certification
    • Reporting to Spain’s National Cybersecurity Council and its relevant departments on the current status of ENS certification
