Applus+ Certification certifies AI management system under new ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard for the first time

05/04/2024

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first global standard on how best to manage AI management systems. The goal of the new standard is to provide organisations with a regulatory framework on how to mitigate the risks and take advantage of the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence (AI) in order to improve confidence and competitiveness.

As a pioneer of this type of certification, Applus+ Certification has now certified the AI management system for OptimumTIC. It is a company founded in 2009 that offers a wide range of services for managing cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance. OptimumTIC’s CyberSOC utilises multiple systems backed up by AI for analysing and categorising events gathered and analysed by the Security Operation Centre (SOC).

During the certification process, our team of IT auditors have verified that OptimumTIC’s area of CyberSOC complies with the ethics, security and conduct guidelines as well as contemplates the possible risks set out by the standard.

This certification now allows OptimumTIC to continue offering a valued service to their clients, boosting their security with a commitment to the responsible use and development of AI.

With the new standard, Applus+ Certification has expanded its catalogue of certification services for Information Technology companies
