Applus+ Certification and the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF) have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the value and visibility of the Sustainability Excellence Seal and the Storage Excellence Seal.
Under this new framework, Applus+ Certification becomes one of the official certification bodies for this pioneering initiative, which recognizes photovoltaic facilities and projects that meet the highest environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
UNEF’s Sustainability Excellence Seal, unique of its kind in Europe, promotes responsible solar development that integrates biodiversity protection, value creation for local communities, and respect for the natural environment.
The certification process carried out by Applus+ Certification brings transparency and ensures, independently, that the recognized companies and installations meet objective and verifiable criteria.
In addition to this recognition, the collaboration will allow UNEF to offer certification for both the Sustainability and Storage Excellence Seals, aimed at fostering trust within the sector and ensuring that the energy transition unfolds on solid foundations of excellence, quality, and social and environmental sustainability.
Through this alliance, Applus+ Certification supports UNEF in its commitment to consolidating Spain’s energy transition on the pillars of sustainability, innovation, and technical rigor, ensuring that the development of solar energy is carried out under the highest standards of excellence.
