On Thursday, 30th May, Applus+ presented the renewal certificates for the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard and the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standard to the company, Bodegas Iniesta.
Bodega Iniesta is a family business which deals with the whole of the winemaking process, from managing the vineyards through to marketing the product. Currently, it is in the process of international expansion, exporting its wines to countries such as Japan.
The certificates were presented to the winery manager, Martín Martínez Requena, the quality manager, Sonia García, and the national sales manager, Celia Candel. Business Development Manager, Jose Francisco Bonet, and Account Manager, Ángel Méndez, attended on behalf of Applus+.
Quality and Environmental Management Certifications
Bodega Iniesta renewed its quality and environmental management certifications in accordance with the 2015 version of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Bringing these certifications up to date responds to the requirements of an increasingly demanding market, where companies need to develop, enhance their productivity and gain a competitive edge.
The 2015 versions of both standards offer a high-level structure which facilitates the integration of different standards, avoiding the inconvenience of duplicate documents. In addition, this version increases the role of senior management, who must demonstrate their commitment and lead their staff to achieve the objectives of the relevant management system.
Another key feature of the latest update of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is the risk-based approach running through the whole management system. Planning preventive actions instead of taking corrective ones increases the likelihood of achieving the defined objectives.
