IFS FOOD CERTIFICATION, A PREREQUISITE FOR SELLING TO LARGE DISTRIBUTION CHAINS

Quality management system implementation and certification is fundamental when it comes to improving the competitiveness of businesses in both national and international markets.
In the agri-food sector, there are standards for food safety management systems, among which IFS Food is one of the main ones. The primary objectives of this standard are to:

    • Establish a common standard with a uniform evaluation system
    • Ensure greater comparability and transparency throughout the entire supply chain
    • Reduce costs and time for both manufacturers and retailers
    • Work with accredited certification bodies and qualified auditors approved by IFS
