13/02/2014

Applus+ Certification issues the first certificate under this standard to Hotel Boutique Bonaparte in Providencia, which in turn becomes the first Hotel Boutique to obtain the “Q mark”.

Applus+ Certification became, on 31st January 2014, the first accredited body to issue a certificate under the NCh3285:2012 standard. With this certification, boutique hotels are able to obtain the “Sello Q” (Q mark), the tourism quality mark issued by Sernatur, Chile’s national tourist board.

Following its accreditation, Applus+ Certification issued the very first certificate under this standard to Hotel Boutique Bonaparte in Providencia, which in turn became the first Hotel Boutique to obtain the Q mark.

The Q Mark is a formal recognition on the part of Sernatur of the quality and characteristics of a tourist lodging. It is only awarded following a transparent and information-rich procedure and therefore offers tourists real guarantees vis-à-vis the type of accommodation they are booking.

Applus+ Certification is accredited by Chile’s National Institute of Normalization (INN) to certify the distinct types of tourist accommodation (hotels, hostels, resorts, etc.) as well as services provided by tour operators.
