The agreement aims to promote and provide certification services and training in management systems to members of the Lares Federation.
On 30th April 2014, José Maria Gallardo Villares, Secretary-General of the Lares Federation, and Federico Martínez, Director of Institutional Relations at Applus+ Certification in Spain, met at the Applus+ offices in Madrid. The aim of this meeting was to conclude a partnership agreement between the two entities with a view to the promotion and provision of certification and training in the fields of quality, the environment, health and safety, food safety and IT security.
With this agreement, Applus is now in a position to provide the highest-quality certification and training services in the above-mentioned fields to all organisations linked to the Lares Federation as well as to its associations and related centres. These services will be offered at preferential rates within the framework of the two-way agreement.
Lares is a federation providing residential homes and care services to the elderly. Lares centres and services differentiate themselves in two key ways: they are non-profit-making and involve caring for residents with dignity, humanity and consideration.
The Lares Federation is made up of 17 different associations, representing all of Spain’s Autonomous Communities (regions). In total, Lares brings together almost 900 individual organisations (homes and day centres), which house or care for more than 70,000 elderly people. These people are in turn looked after by more than 33,000 staff members and 9,500 volunteers.
